Many of the people registering with us who are adept in Quality Assurance are also skilled, experienced and qualified in the Environment.
We are anxious to develop the listing and selection of engagements in the Environment in its own right as well as in conjunction with Quality Assurance and/or Health & Safety.
Currently, amongst our listed quality assurance specialists (now approaching 2000 in number) we a large number of people who are also skilled in Environmental issues often also holding this responsibility as a part of their employment.

The purpose of Environmental Health (which now has a dedicated international standard - ISO14001:2004) is to maintain, enhance and promote improvements in public and environmental health. Also to enhance health through improved physical environment, social environment, lifestyles within a framework of sustainable development, to develop and maintain competent professionals, to provide membership services and to secure good organisational management.
Enhancing health is achieved by undertaking, funding and encouraging research, developing and promoting policy, working with government and others and promoting knowledge and understanding in order to improve physical and social environments and lifestyles.
Developing and maintaining competent persons is achieved by promoting and regulating the education and training of Environmental Health Officers, promoting and regulating the education and training of other environmental health practitioners and promoting and maintaining high standards of professional practice and conduct.
